My name is Morgan Boyd, and I am from Marietta, Georgia. If you are not familiar with the Atlanta area Marietta is about 45 minutes North of Atlanta! I will be a senior at the University of Kentucky in the fall. I am studying Integrated Strategic Communication with a minor in writing, rhetoric, and digital media. I came to Kentucky for a change of scenery, and I quickly grew to love Lexington! I have found that Lexington is a community and I have easily found my place. I didn’t know anyone when I first came to UK but I was quickly accepted by the big blue nation.
When I came to college I was looking for a major that would allow me to be creative. ISC is perfect for that, I have enjoyed getting to showcase my skills for the past 3 years! When I first
came to college I had no idea what I wanted to do or study. I am so glad that I have found ISC
and I am able to do what I love!
I love being outside, being active, and hanging out with my roommates. Kentucky is so different from Georgia and I have loved finding all the great things that Kentucky has to offer. Some of my Lexington favorites are Keeneland, The Distillery District (more specifically Goodfellas), and Kentucky basketball. My friends and I love going out and trying new places to eat. We frequent Local Taco, DV8 Kitchen (I love the tetris tater tots), and for something sweet Magee’s Bakery. I love when my parents get to come visit me and then I can introduce them to local Lexington staples.
I am so excited to be able to intern for Kentucky Tastebuds, I can’t wait to add some of my
personality to things and to explore Lexington and Kentucky further!
