We are excited to start our new lifestyle show on FOX 56 in March and there is absolutely no way we could do it without our amazing Producer, Ronda Simmons. Wet met Ronda several years ago on the set of Good Day Kentucky and absolutely fell in love with her! She is an amazing woman!
Ronda Simmons, born and raised in Winchester Kentucky, is currently the Lifestyle Producer at Fox 56. Over the past year, she served as the Tournament Services Coordinator for the PGA Barbasol Championship Tournament in Nicholasville. She is the former Producer of Good Day Kentucky and News at noon at ABC 36. This year she was nominated as the 2023 Woman of Impact, a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. You can help support Ronda and this wonderful cause by clicking here. She has also been nominated as the 2023 Visionary of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! Go Ronda!
We asked Ronda some fun questions to get to know more about her. We love her responses!
1. Do you have children? Tell us about them.
"My children DeVarius (21) and Da'Mari (15) are my world. DeVarius love cars. He can tell you what make, model and year a care is just by looking at it. Da'mari is very artistic, loves playing video games and making animatronics."
2. What’s your favorite restaurant in Kentucky and why?
"My favorite restaurant in Kentucky is Blue Isle in Winchester, because it is family owned, and it is good old soul food. They also have Carribean food and great desserts. They have the best Hot Brown on this side of the Mississippi."
3. Do you have a secret talent?
"I can put my right leg behind my head."
4. You have met a lot of guests doing the shows you have produced. Who has been your favorite and why?
"Mo'Nique! Because she was so down to earth, and she treated my mother and I like she had known us for years."
5. If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
"My superpower would be to fly, because I love to travel, and I want to see the world!"
6. Do you have a hype song?
"OMG! I can't tell you my hype song, because it has bad words in it, but it's by C-Murder! LOL!"
