Hi everyone! I am so excited to be able to join the Kentucky Taste Buds team as an intern this spring semester! I'm hoping to grow more with my writing and I hope to do so with this internship. I am from Minnesota and I am a senior here at UK. I'm about to graduate in May with a double major in Integrated Strategic Communication along with Merchandising, Apparels, & Textiles which is very exciting.
I hope to move to New York or back to Minneapolis post-graduation, but we will see where life takes me :) I have loved all of my time that I've spent here in Lexington the past 3.5 years so far. A few of my favorite things about Kentucky are the scenery while driving on the back roads, The Kentucky Derby, and shopping at all the local boutiques.
My favorite place to relax here in Lexington is at the UK Arboretum. I love walking around the paths while listening to my music and allowing myself to not stress about anything while I am there. The University of Kentucky has helped me grow in so many ways and I am a completely different person now than I was when I first moved into the dorms a few years ago. There are so many reasons why I love being a UK student, but one of those reasons is definitely being at an SEC school and experiencing that type of college lifestyle when it comes to sports. I was never really a big basketball fan until I came here and got to see what the hype was all about!
My favorite Kentucky restaurant would have to be Blue Sushi Sake Grill which is located in the Summit Fritz Farm. I have always loved sushi and their rolls are by far the best sushi rolls I have ever had.
