The 1839 Trustees’ Office which houses The Trustees’ Table restaurant is undergoing historic restoration during the month of February. While updates are being made to the historic building all dining services will be relocated to the Winter Kitchen beginning January 30 through February 26, 2023. The coziness and unique ambiance of the Winter Kitchen makes it the perfect choice for a date night meal or an outing with friends and family. Chef Amber Hokams will be serving classic Trustees’ Table favorites including buttermilk biscuits, tomato celery soup, a hot brown, pot roast and Shaker lemon pie. Kid-friendly options will also be served.

“We are excited to welcome guests to the Winter Kitchen to offer a unique dining experience in the West Family Dwelling, where many Pleasant Hill Shakers lived, and dined,” said Chef Hokams. “Winter dishes like burgoo with sour cream cornbread and vegetarian shepherd’s pie will undoubtedly leave our guests feeling satisfied.”
The Winter Kitchen will also provide the perfect romantic dining destination for Valentine’s Day celebrations. A special Valentine’s Buffet will be offered from 5-8:00 p.m. on February 17-18. The buffet will include appetizer, entrée and dessert options including roasted beef shoulder with a red wine reduction sauce, airline chicken breast with tarragon cream and roasted salmon with honey and stone-ground mustard glaze. Upon reopening on February 27, 2023 The Trustees’ Office will have new paint and plaster repairs to the walls and ceilings.
