Calling all bourbon fans, our friends at Wilderness Trail Distillery are offering an hour long Master Distiller’s tour, in addition to their regular tours during the KY State BBQ Festival, held September 7th-9th.
These tours, led by Wilderness Trail’s Master Distiller Shane Baker, will be offered at 2 and 4 p.m. Sept. 8. And just so you know, he is a super cool guy!
The tour includes a trip to the barrelhouse where you will taste the Bourbon from the barrel. The tours feature the laboratory for Ferm Solutions, fermentation and distilling areas for the distillery that produces Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, Blue Heron Vodka and Bourbon barrel-aged Harvest Rum. Guests receive a souvenir Glencairn. That right there is enough reason to sign up!
Tours are limited to 20 people. The cost is $40 a person. Reserve a tour by calling 859-402-8707. Regular tours will be offered 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7. Half-hour tours will be available for $5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 8 and noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 10.
